For example, if you want to ask what someone is doing, you can ask:
A: What are you doing? B: I am playing with my toy car.
playing is the verb in the present continuous form.
If you want to ask a girl, you can use she as the pronoun of the sentence:
A: What is she doing? B: She is dancing ballet.
If you want to ask a boy, we say:
A; What is he doing? B: He is playing soccer with his friends.
If you want to ask about two or more people doing the activity we can say:
A: What are they doing? B: They are dancing.
